We have just spent Thursday to Sunday at Latimer Hotel.  Could you pass onto management that the staff were fantastic, - all staff from the bar staff, staff in the restaurant,  to the young lady that cleaned our room. Nothing was too much trouble and the bar staff were a hoot and very accomodating! The 12 of us came down for a surprise visit to some friends that have moved down to Christchurch and the Latimer was the perfect place for us to stay.

Thanks again - next time we are down that way we will stay again. Keep up the good work!

I have been meaning to write and thank you all for the wonderful way you took care of us during the three days we stayed at the Latimer Hotel earlier in July. It was my mother’s 90th family birthday and had been difficult to know who was coming how and when. You coped so well with our fluctuating needs and in the end we had just the right number of beds and bodies.

Mother had a wonderful time and felt very spoilt by her children and also the hotel staff. They really made a special effort to make sure they could manage all the requests we had. I was delighted I could finish icing her cake in the apartment with the youngest grandchildren using the chefs rolling pin. I do hope there was not too much stickiness around after we finished!

The evening meals were excellent and the staff made us all feel special. On the Saturday night, we all enjoyed the waitress bringing what was left of the cake out again, with candles lit. It was just a wonderful time. Please pass our sincere thanks onto all the staff involved, from front of house, to kitchen and cleaning.

We will come back, my husband and I stay with you regularly when we need a bed in Christchurch. The others in my family have now experienced the homely personal style your hotel offers its guests and all of them plan to use it too when they have the need.
